What We Provide
The college reference library was opened in September 1997. Together with Macclesfield Library just around the corner, this provides our students with excellent reference facilities> Teaching to meet student ability Students are able to study courses on an individual basis receiving tuition one to one. This often suits students who have other commitments or demands. Small groups or individual tuition ensures lessons are conducted at the appropriate level: - not above or below the student's capability for learning. Flexibility Previous students have found the flexibility of such programmes has enabled them to continue studying efficiently whilst managing other demands or difficulties in their lives. For instance previous students been able to study and take time out for hospital treatments, adventure/charity holiday or pursuing a sporting career. Aspiring professional footballers, ice skaters' golfers and dressage and three day eventers have all graced the corridors of MTC. The college has had and continues to have successful students. However it prides itself on giving students another chance if they have under achieved elsewhere. Regular examination practice The college provides regular examination practice for each pupil. GCSE and GCE A-Level Examinations with all boards are available, and the college enjoys examination centre status, so examinations are taken at the college. RSA examinations can also be arranged. English as a foreign language, Cambridge certificate examinations are arranged locally. Examination Entry for External Candidates The college offers entry to external candidates for all GCSE and GCE AS and A2 examinations in all subjects subject to availability. |
